Sticking an item allows it to be fully coated. Use a toothpick for oreos. Battering sticks may be purchased from Fried What!

Make sure to coat the item entirely in the batter. Do not leave any holes or openings.

Submerge item in hot oil. Use needle-nose pliars or something similar to hold stick instead of using your fingers.

Allow item to float. Turn item as needed to ensure even browning.

Cook until golden brown. Once removed sprinkle immediately with powdered sugar, if desired.
